I've been hustling since high school to save up for college, dreaming about working in Silicon Valley one day. On top of all that, I'm teaching myself how to code in my free time - gotta stay ahead in this tech-savvy world, am I right? Right now, though, I'm stressed about money and trying to juggle Syntax and Grammar, Phonetics, and Second Language Acquisition. As a language learner facing language proficiency issues and struggling with academic writing in my second language, the pressure is REAL.

But hey, bright side - I got invited to present at a Linguistics conference in San Francisco soon! Any tips on combating nerves when presenting? I wanna knock it out of the park 🚀 despite these financial hurdles. idk share your wisdom if you've been there! stay awesome! 😎

Yo that's amazing!! Linguistics conference in SF?? Big deal!! For nerves: practice in front of friends first. Not just alone. Get used to actual humans watching you. Also, have notes but don't read them. Just keywords to keep you on track. If you read, you'll sound robotic and get more nervous when you lose your place.

And the juggling Syntax + Phonetics + SLA while coding?? You're a machine 😭 I'm tired just reading that. What's your research on? Would love to hear about it!!
