Any tips for nervous freshman starting at Gavilan College this fall?

I'm born and bred in Palo Alto and currently knee-deep into my English Lit major at Stanford. But, remember when was just getting ready to step foot on campus, was pretty jittery too. That said, let's pivot to Gavilan are there any seasoned students or alumni here who can offer up some wisdom? Maybe share the lowdown on surviving the first year? Or even pointers on secret study spots or chill hangouts around campus would be great! With everything going digital, it's hard for new student to figure out what's what without physically being there. And hey, if there are any unique traditions or unspoken rules that you think newbie should be aware of, don’t hold back!
