My kid's freshman at USC but spent some fine years at Berkeley myself. Man, talk about memories! I've been reflecting on those days recently, and boy, do wish I'd known few things before diving in. First off, if you're staying in the Berkeley dorms over the summer prepare for ghost town vibe! Everyone heads out to soak up the sunshine elsewhere, so it can get pretty quiet. On the upside, it gives you the perfect chance to explore without bumping into everyone and their roommate. And But hey, despite all the ups and downs, it was an experience that shaped me into who am today. And as much as worried about what would happen if my daughter stayed over summer too, realized she’d have her own unique experiences that might just make her love college even more. Anyone else got any golden nuggets of wisdom for surviving the Berkeley summer dorm experience? Or hilarious mix-ups from not knowing where your classes were?
