We're pretty new to the whole education system, so this is bit of an adventure for us. So, was chatting with mate whose kid goes to West Los Angeles College, and he was telling me about how they've shifted everything online because of COVID-19. Blimey, sounds like proper challenge, doesn't it?
My daughter's been doing remote learning too, but I'm curious about what it's like at different college. Like, how are you guys dealing with labs or practicals? And what about services that used to be face-to-face like advising or career services? Also, anyone else noticed any silver linings in this virtual set-up? My girl's enjoying bit more flexibility with her schedule and even though she misses campus life, she reckons there are some perks.
Oh, and if anyone's got any tips on the best virtual study resources at West College, throw 'em my way. My mate's kid could use leg up. Cheers! Totally unrelated but I'm eyeing Stanford for my post-grad studies. Anyone here who can give me the lowdown on what their application process is like? Anything unexpected that threw you for six?
