I've always struggled with essay structure. My ideas are good (I think) but they come out as a jumbled mess on the page. My professors keep saying "good points but organization needs work." I don't know how to fix that.
I need a simple formula for structuring essays. Something I can follow every time until I internalize it. Like a template that works for most assignments.

- Hook: something interesting to grab attention
- Context: background info the reader needs
- Thesis: your main argument in one sentence
- Roadmap: briefly mention your main points
- Topic sentence: what this paragraph is about
- Evidence: quote, data, example
- Analysis: explain what it means
- Link: connect to thesis and next paragraph
- Restate thesis (new words)
- Summarize main points
- Broader significance: why this matters
