I'm a trans student and honestly, using the bathroom at school is one of the most stressful parts of my day. I don't feel safe in either the boys' or girls' room, so I wait until I get home. It's exhausting.
My friend told me California passed a law requiring gender-neutral bathrooms in all schools. Is that true? I looked it up but the information is confusing.
From what I can tell, Senate Bill 760 requires schools to provide at least one gender-neutral bathroom at each site by July 2026 . It has to be open to all students, unlocked, and accessible.
This would literally change my life. Can anyone confirm if this is real and when it actually happens? I need accurate info to share with my counselor.
