Cal Grant A & B Transfer Entitlement Awards
- For California community college students transferring to CSU, UC, or eligible private colleges
- Cal Grant A covers tuition at CSU/UC
- Cal Grant B provides stipend for living expenses plus tuition coverage
- Must have 2.4 GPA, meet income limits, and submit FAFSA by March 2
- For Latina students transferring from a California community college to a four-year university
- Awards up to $2,500
- Requires essay, letters of recommendation, and demonstrated community involvement
- Up to $55,000 per year — literally life-changing
- For high-achieving community college students with financial need
- Extremely competitive but worth applying
- Many universities offer scholarships specifically for PTK members
- CSUs and UCs participate — worth joining PTK if you qualify
- Some UC campuses have scholarships specifically for transfer students
- Vary by campus and major
- Each CSU campus has its own foundation scholarships
- Often require separate applications
