I've been working as an admissions officer at the University of San Francisco (go Dons! For while now and I've seen all sorts of applications come through my desk. But lately, I'm seeing more and more people applying who've been through the Clinical Medical Assisting Program at American Medical Sciences Center ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It's got me curious! Is anyone out there an alum of this program? How was your experience overall? Did you feel like it adequately prepared you for the medical field, or were there some gaps in the curriculum you wished were filled? What about hands-on opportunities did you get to dive right into practical work? And on lighter note, what was the social scene like while you were there? Any fun student traditions or events that stood out to you? As someone who's part of the admissions process, understanding diverse educational backgrounds and experiences really helps me assist future students better. Plus, as lifelong learner myself, just love hearing about different educational journeys! So don't hold back spill those beans! On the flip side, anyone who's thinking of applying to this program but has some questions, don't hesitate to chime in too. The beauty of these forums is how much we can learn from each other's experiences. Anyway, as they say in academia, sharing is caring. Or something like that!
