I came back with actual numbers—depreciation rates, interest calculations, maintenance costs—and presented it like a mini expository essay. We made a decision based on facts instead of feelings! My roommate called me a nerd but also thanked me because we saved money.

I never thought I'd use this class in real life but here we are. Has anyone else had a random moment where your academic writing skills actually helped in the real world?
