I always felt the pull towards understanding human behavior. But now, as I work towards my PhD and dream of starting my own biz in 🤷 the future, I'm facing a major hurdle - imposter syndrome is hitting me hard. 😩 Juggling my dissertation, TA duties, and advanced courses like Research Design is no joke!

I'm on the hunt for the best research opportunities on campus to fuel my passion for understanding the human mind even more. ngl any tips or insights on where to find those hidden gems at ucla? would love to hear about your experiences and recommendations! let's conquer this academic journey together! 💙.

The department website has info on Psych 196A (Research Assistantship) and 199 (Directed Research) which let you get credit for working in labs . Also the Undergraduate Research Center posts opportunities across campus.

For your PhD journey specifically — look into labs that align with your eventual biz interests. Social psych labs studying consumer behavior? Cognitive labs studying decision-making? That kind of thing. Happy to chat more about specific PIs if you share your interests!
