lowkey hey y'all!
i'm a 21-year-old psychology major at uc irvine, diving deep into courses like cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and research methods. Let me tell you, this semester has me feeling like a stressed-out lab rat in an unpredictable maze!
I'm struggling to juggle work shifts at the campus bookstore with understanding experiment design, nailing down statistical analysis, and applying theories effectively. It's like trying to decipher Freud's dream analysis while dreaming yourself - confusing as heck!
My brain feels like it's doing mental gymnastics 24/7, and I'm starting to feel the pressure. How do y'all manage to balance work and study without losing your mind? Any tips on staying focused and organized? And what strategies do you use to tackle complex topics like experiment design and statistical analysis in psychology courses? I'd appreciate any advice or insights from fellow Psych majors or anyone navigating the UC system grind! Being an observant, analytical, and empathetic person is great for understanding human behavior but not so much when it comes to deciphering SPSS outputs!
Can't wait to hear your thoughts and hopefully get some sanity-saving suggestions. Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom!
